Our Programs

Walden Day Care Centre strives to be a caring, educational environment for children to maximize their potential, in every way possible.

Full-day or half-day interactions with peers, while experiencing age-appropriate activities delivered by competent, caring Early Childhood Educators are only part of our vision. We ensure the environment they spend their time in is safe, engaging, and inviting while encouraging them to reach for the stars!

Centre Base: 12 Months to 4 Years

Location

Our Centre Base is located at 515 Niemi Road in Lively, ON.

Schedule

Programs are offered Monday to Thursday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Fridays 6:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Centre Base Routine & Play

The daily routine at the Centre varies according to the age group and program each child is involved in. Generally the day’s activities follow a regular sequence which provides a feeling of security in knowing what to expect and when to expect it.

The children are greeted upon entering the daycare and are then allowed the freedom to explore and participate in the many changing activities and creative centers.

Every day each group has scheduled outdoor play, circle times, active playtimes in the gym, and rest or quiet periods.

Meals and snacks are consistently a variety of fun, tasty, and nutritious foods which are anticipated by all the children.

Throughout it all, the Educators are always nearby to lend quiet support or active encouragement, to tell a story or sing a song, or even just to give a hug.

Locations

Our Agency is also in partnership with many of the local schools. The following information details the specific schools and the programs available:

St. James Catholic School

Located at 280 Anderson Drive in Lively, offers programs for children ages 4 to 12 years. Before and after school programs are offered from 6:00 am to 9:00 am and 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, closing at 5:00 pm on Fridays. Non-school days including PA days and school holidays are available.

Copper Cliff Public School

Located at 50 School Street in Copper Cliff, offers programs for children ages 4 to 12 years. Before and after school programs are offered from 6:00 am to 9:00 am and 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, closing at 5:00 pm on Fridays. Non-school days including PA days and school holidays are available. Our Copper Cliff Public School program joins our program at St. James Catholic School on these days.

Walden Public School

Located at 249 6th Avenue in Lively, offers programs for children ages 4 to 12 years. Before and after school programs are offered from 6:00 am to 9:00 am and 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, closing at 5:00 pm on Fridays. Non-school days including PA days and school holidays are available.

Annual Holiday Closure

Walden Day Care Centre is closed between Christmas and New Year’s Day.
