Walden Day Care Centre's Annual Farmers' Market
A commitment to healthful nutritious food doesn’t just begin in the kitchen, it begins with how the food is grown and where it originates. With that in mind, WDCC has developed a partnership with a local Mennonite community and has been purchasing fruit, vegetables, and meat from Martin’s Country Market in Massey for the past few years. The relationship soon developed into a fundraising opportunity for WDCC by way of a Farmers’ Market!
About the Market
Each Thursday from June through October, we hold a Farmers’ Market at 515 Niemi Road in Lively (Centre Base) right on our front deck!
We offer a wide selection of in-season fruits and vegetables, hormone-free meats, free-range eggs, and delicious homemade baking made with real ingredients – no artificial colouring, additives, or preservatives!
Come join us each Thursday from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm and enjoy access to this delicious, healthy food, all while supporting your local not-for-profit childcare agency.
As an extra bonus, families with children enrolled in WDCC recieve 10% off their Farmers’ Market purchases.
